Each cord set has one female connector and one male connector The connectors are keyed for error-free connection and are waterproof for continued operation even while submerged in the bilge.

This bulkhead feed-thru also allows a mini network to be connected through a bulkhead while maintaining the watertight integrity of the bulkhead and eliminates the need to run a cable through a hole in which it might chafe. A powertap for mini networks. The powertap mounts in the network backbone and has a female mini connector either side and uniquely provides two power inputs permitting doubled power provision for devices. Typically, a Powertap is placed as central as possible between total devices on backbone. The power cable connects to a special 4-pin male connector on the powertap. Connects power supply to NMEA 2000® Trunk Line in convenient plug/play fashion. A maximum of 8A is provided to either side of the powertap and the unit contains replaceable 8A fuses in order to protect bus and connected components from excessive current. Provides LED status indication of power and correct polarity connection for simple diagnostics.
